NXIVM (a personal development company started by Keith Runiere in the early 90s) was a national sensation after The New York Times exposed the pyramid scheme as well as the cult group that forced female participants into sexual slavery. After that, Raniere was arrested and was later charged with federal crimes. The founder of the group was found guilty in July 2019 for racketeering, sex-trafficking and other offenses. During that time, various persons were uncovered to be members or recruits -- from an heiress to members of the Seagram Company fortune to a daughter of the former Dynasty actress, however none were more shocking than former Smallville actor Allison Mack. Shortly after her arrest in April of 2018, media sources claimed that the healthy actress was in fact a senior person in the sex cult who was in charge of enticing women as slaves and branding these women. Mack admitted guilt to charges in April 2019. She is now waiting to be sentenced. In the past, numerous television programs, such as Showtime's Escaping the NXIVM Cult and Vox's Netflix Show Explained have shed light on the conduct of the cult aswell the involvement of Mack. Mack has also spoken out about her next steps, saying her intentions at the time she was looking at a handful of possibilities. I'd like to be involved with TV. "I believe that finding the right task is all that's required," said she. "I believe that the most valuable factor I've discovered is how to really be aware of yourself and recognize your voice, and to know which is best for you and your priorities, and to also connect with people and create a community of people to work with that believe in you."
