Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw also known by her stage name Elizabeth Alice MacGraw has been an actor, model and animal rights advocate in the United States. She has been acclaimed for her roles in films such as Love Story (from 1970), Goodbye Columbus, (1969) and The Getaway, (1972). Her desire to be an artist was in part influenced by her upbringing within the New York family of artists. She began as a photo assistant, before progressing to acting and modeling. She received her Golden Globe Award, for most promising newcomer. MacGraw's film Love Story proved a major success and earned her international fame as well as several awards including an Academy Award' nomination and a Golden Globe award. Within three years, she was named the number one female box-office starter in the world. In 1972, her foot-prints along with her signature were engraved on the wall of Grauman's Chinese Theater. She also appeared in The Getaway Convoy Players TV Miniseries The Winds of War, along with other films. In 1991, her autobiography Moving Pictures came out. MacGraw's been married three different times.
